G\u00ebzuar Dit\u00ebn e Ver\u00ebs 13 Mars 2018, me po-at\u00eb ndjenj\u00eb si p\u00ebr vitin e ri, sepse n\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb dit\u00eb madh\u00ebshtore, Pellazg\u00ebt dhe Ilir\u00ebt para-latin\u00eb festonin Vitin e Ri (Dita 1 Mars i lasht\u00eb, te zhvendosur nga Latin\u00ebt n\u00eb mes t\u00eb dimrit, 1 Janar, muaji i 11 pellazgjik) t\u00eb p\u00ebrcaktuar pik\u00ebrisht me gjelb\u00ebrimin dhe lul\u00ebzimin pranveror (Kjo dit\u00eb ishte dita e fillimit t\u00eb vitit prej 12 muajsh. => Pellazget => Ilir\u00ebt e ndanin vitin ne dy stin\u00eb:<\/p>\n

Stina e par\u00eb shtat\u00eb-mujore fillonte me \u00e7eljen e gjetheve dhe luleve, fillimin e pun\u00ebve, mbjelljeve, nxjerrjen e bag\u00ebtive nga stallat p\u00ebr ne kullota dhe quhej vere; stina e dyte pes\u00eb-mujor\u00eb p\u00ebrcaktohej me fillimin e vyshkjes, zverdhjes e, me r\u00ebnien e gjetheve n\u00eb N\u00ebntor (Muajin e n\u00ebnt\u00eb) dhe pasqyrohej me nje pushim stinor aktiv, kujdes p\u00ebr bag\u00ebtin\u00eb e kafsh\u00ebt e pun\u00ebs ne stalla, p\u00ebrgatitjen e veglave te pun\u00ebs per stin\u00ebn tjet\u00ebr, arg\u00ebtimet rreth vatrave dhe rreth ceremonive familjare e nderfamijare.<\/p>\n

Edhe sot Shkodran\u00ebt, zon\u00ebs te Koplikut, kufitare me Malin e Zi, i thon\u00eb \u201cMalsi e Madhe\u201d, me kuptimin zon\u00eb malore e gjer\u00eb n\u00eb dallim nga zona t\u00eb tjera malore m\u00eb t\u00eb ngushta apo m\u00eb t\u00eb ul\u00ebta. K\u00ebshtu u \u00ebsht\u00eb mbushur mendja etimolog\u00ebve dhe historianeve sikur e folmja e zon\u00ebs s\u00eb banuar nga Iliro-arberoreo-shqiptar\u00ebt s\u2019ka l\u00ebn\u00eb gjurm\u00eb n\u00eb toponimi.<\/p>\n

How did a Balkan country smaller than the American state of Connecticut end up with the mysterious and monumental name Montenegro?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Although the origin of the name Montenegro is still debated among historians, it can be traced as far back as the early 1200s, when \u201cCrna Gora\u201d (\u201cBlack Mountain\u201d in Serbo-Croatian) was used in the charter of Vranjina Monastery to denote the highlands of Mount Lov\u0107en, a mountain by Kotor in southwestern Montenegro. That the country is known today by the Venetian calque \u201cMontenegro\u201d rather than the Serbo-Croatian \u201cCrna Gora\u201d reflects Venice\u2019s dominance over the Balkans during the Middle Ages; what is now the coast of Montenegro and parts of Albania was under Venetian control between 1420 and 1797.<\/p>\n

Perhaps we will never know exactly why the area was in the first place called Crna Gora or Montenegro, but one our favorite origin stories comes from the Middle Ages, when the Venetians traded with independent city states along the Adriatic. Kotor, one of these independent city states at the far end of the Boka Bay, a winding body of water connecting the Adriatic to the town, was the only passageway into today\u2019s mainland Montenegro.<\/p>\n

Once they had arrived in Kotor, the Venetians had to cross the city walls behind Kotor and travel up and over Mount Lov\u0107en to reach Cetinje, at that time the capital, which was located at the foot of the mountain. The Venetians would therefore, in speech, refer to today\u2019s mainland Montenegro as the place over the dark mountain; the pine forests on Mount Lov\u0107en were apparently so dense that from far away the mountain looked black.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
