Patriarkana Ortodokse e mbrojtur nga Otoman\u00ebte arriti fuqin\u00eb dhe prestigjin n\u00eb shkall\u00eb t\u00eb pa njohur t\u00eb madhe edhe n\u00eb Bizantin e von\u00ebsh\u00ebm, Grek\u00ebt ortodoks si nj\u00eb grup etnik, ishin t\u00eb par\u00ebt q\u00eb mor\u00ebn pozita t\u00eb larta n\u00eb Burokracin\u00eb Otomane, pa qen\u00eb t\u00eb detyruar t\u00eb konertohen n\u00eb Islam.<\/p>\n<p>Duke u ndihmuar nga pozita e tyre e privilegjuar, grek\u00ebt ortodoks\u00eb, pat\u00ebn ndihma t\u00eb m\u00ebdha ekonomke nga Europa, ata u ndihmuan edhe nga dashuria europiane p\u00ebr \u201cantiken greke\u201d, k\u00ebshtuq\u00eb ata ishin n\u00eb gjendje q\u00eb t\u00eb krijojn\u00eb dhe zhvillojn\u00eb \u201cklas\u00ebn e e mesme ekonomike\u201c, e cila e mund\u00ebsoi rritjen e madh\u00ebsis\u00eb teritoriale t\u00eb popullat\u00ebs \u201cgrekfol\u00ebse\u201d n\u00eb d\u00ebm t\u00eb t\u00eb grupeve q\u00eb identifikoheshin me Patrikanen Greke, pa marr\u00eb para sysh\u00eb origjin\u00ebn e tyre etnike, pa qen\u00eb grek.<\/p>\n<p>Ishte nj\u00eb realitet q\u00eb banor\u00ebt q\u00eb jetonin n\u00eb tokat e veta te ekspanzionit grek, identifikoheshin sipas fes\u00eb, e jo prejardhjes komb\u00ebtare. T\u00eb gjith\u00eb musliman\u00ebt tregoheshin si turq, p\u00ebr deri sa t\u00eb tjer\u00ebt nga pozitat e privilegjuara greke n\u00eb Perandorin\u00eb Otomane, i p\u00ebrkisnin \u201cgrek\u00ebve\u201d&#8230; Termi \u201cgrek\u201d (rum), n\u00eb vetvete i n\u00ebnkuptonte t\u00eb gjith\u00eb t\u00eb krishter\u00ebt ortodoks\u00eb; t\u00eb cil\u00ebt n\u00eb shekullin n\u00ebnt\u00ebmb\u00ebdhjet\u00eb arrit\u00ebn t\u00eb rriten shum\u00eb, sa q\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb t\u00eb lidhurit me Patrikan\u00ebn e Stambollit dhe me kishta tjera ortodokse greke u quajt\u00ebn \u201cgrek\u00eb ortodoks\u00eb\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Autori, n\u00eb librin e tij t\u00eb p\u00ebrmendur m\u00eb lart shkruan se viktimat e para nga kjo politik\u00eb \u201cotomane-greke ortodokse ishin shqiptar\u00ebt musliman\u00eb, kurse shqiptar\u00ebve ortodoks, t\u00eb cil\u00ebve nuk iu lejohej kisha e tyre u quajt\u00ebn grek\u00eb. Pra, n\u00ebse duam t\u00eb dim\u00eb numrin e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb t\u00eb shqiptar\u00ebve, kjo \u00ebsht\u00eb gati e pamundur. Pavar\u00ebsia e Greqis\u00eb e vitit 1840, e zvog\u00ebloi n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb drastike numrin e popullat\u00ebs shqiptare, pra n\u00eb shek. e 19-t\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00eb lbrin \u201cOttoman population 1830-1914&#8243;, Kemal H. Karpat, lexojm\u00eb fakte p\u00ebr ne tmerruese:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>In 1840 a population 1,500,000 Albanians was estimated. By 1876-78 the estimate had been reduced to 1,031,000, but evidently many of Albanians were put under the classification \u201cGreek Albanians\u201d (in addition to the classification \u201cOrthodox Albanians\u201d; this figure also excluded Albanians within the state of independent Greece). By 1890\u2019s the Albanian population is estimated at 1,217,000, indicating that substantial number of Albanians ceased to be counted as Albanian.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>N\u00eb 1840 u vler\u00ebsua nj\u00eb popullsi prej 1.500.000 shqiptar\u00ebsh. Nga 1890-ta popullsia shqiptare vler\u00ebsohet t\u00eb jet\u00eb 1,217,000, duke treguar q\u00eb nj\u00eb num\u00ebr i konsideruesh\u00ebm i shqiptar\u00ebve nuk num\u00ebrohen si shqiptar\u00eb.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em>Pra, nga 1,5 milion shqiptar\u00eb n\u00eb vitin 1840, \u201dn\u00eb vitet 1876-78 numri i tyre u zvoglua n\u00eb 1,031,000, duke u identifikuar si \u201cgrek\u00eb t\u00eb Shqiperis\u00eb\u201d. Kjo ishte praktika e p\u00ebrbashk\u00ebt e qarqeve antikomb\u00ebtare kund\u00ebr shqiptar\u00ebve.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Kjo e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb fatkeqe, i b\u00ebri fuqit\u00eb europiane q\u00eb t\u00eb vendosin p\u00ebr shqiptar\u00ebt dhe kufinjt\u00eb e Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb, duke i cil\u00ebsuar shqiptar\u00ebt t\u00eb pa etnicitet, ashtu si\u00e7 b\u00ebri turku me fermanin e sultanit m\u00eb par\u00eb. K\u00ebshtu shihet e v\u00ebrteta simptomatike e rritjes s\u00eb popujve t\u00eb Ballkanit n\u00eb llogari dhe n\u00eb d\u00ebm t\u00eb shqiptar\u00ebve.<\/p>\n<p>(<em>The unfortunate truth is that these false claims effective in convincing European powers to decide to the determent of the Albanians when it came to determining borders of Albania, and in the process designating large Albanian populations as non-entities. Por realiteti \u00ebsht\u00eb se kjo \u00ebsht\u00eb simptomatike se si kan\u00eb evoluar vendet e Ballkanit, me pretendime t\u00eb rreme dhe me kosto p\u00ebr shqiptar\u00ebt.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>PS.
