Shumica e guximtar\u00ebve kan\u00eb qen\u00eb mysliman\u00eb. Dhe nuk dihet nji rast ku shqiptar\u00ebt t\u00eb ken\u00eb marr\u00eb ryshfete e pagesa p\u00ebr strehimin e jahudijve\u201d.<\/p>\n

Masat ndeshkimore naziste q\u00eb u mor\u00ebn n\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb Europ\u00ebn nuk u zbatuen n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri. Rreth Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb, Greqi dhe Jugosllavi, hebrejt\u00eb u rrethuen, u arrestuen dhe u derguen masivisht n\u00eb kampet naziste t\u00eb p\u00ebrqendrimit. N\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri ata nuk u detyruen me mbajt\u00eb \u201cyllin e verdhe\u201d me germen \u201cJ\u201d (Xhju) n\u00eb rrobet e tyne. Nazist\u00ebt kerkuen q\u00eb paria e vendit t\u00eb pergatit\u00eb dhe t\u00eb dor\u00ebzoj\u00eb list\u00ebn e plot\u00eb t\u00eb t\u00eb\u00eb gjith hebrej\u00ebve q\u00eb jetojshin n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri, por kerkesa u refuzue. Ky ka qen\u00eb ballafaqimi i par\u00eb me nazist\u00ebt i qeveris\u00eb s\u00eb re shqiptare. Shum\u00eb persona mendojshin se qeveria shqiptare do t\u00eb pranonte k\u00ebrkesat naziste, por ajo rezistoi.<\/p>\n

Me 20 tetor 1943, Gestapoja naziste filloi nji fushat\u00eb arrestimesh t\u00eb elementit pro-komunist n\u00eb Durr\u00ebs dhe arrestoi 569 shqiptar\u00eb dhe 36 italian\u00eb. N\u00eb Shijak u arrestuen 57 shqiptar\u00eb dhe 44 italian\u00eb. N\u00eb t\u00eb dy operacionet nuk u arrestue as edhe nji hebre. N\u00eb pranver\u00eb t\u00eb vitit 1944, Gestapo kerkoi p\u00ebrs\u00ebri nga qeveria shqiptare listen e t\u00eb gjith\u00eb hebrejve. Shqiptar\u00ebt jo vet\u00ebm refuzuen kerkes\u00ebn por dhan\u00eb sigurime p\u00ebr popullsin\u00eb se p\u00ebr sa koh\u00eb q\u00eb qeveria do t\u00eb jet\u00eb n\u00eb fuqi asnji hebre nuk do t\u00eb dor\u00ebzohet.<\/p>\n

Me ardhjen e rregjimit komunist , nandor 1944, Shqipria u ba nji satelite e Bashkimit Sovjetik. Me 16 prill 1949 Shqip\u00ebria njohu shtetin e ri t\u00eb Israelit me kerkes\u00eb t\u00eb Mosk\u00ebs, por nuk lejoi asnji hebre t\u00eb kthehet n\u00eb Israel. Me prishjen e marr\u00ebdhanjve B.S.-Israel filloi nji propagand\u00eb e \u00e7thurun me mediat gjat\u00eb gjith\u00eb viteve t\u00eb Luft\u00ebs s\u00eb Ftoht. Anti-zionizmi ishte brumi i k\u00ebsaj propagande.<\/p>\n

Me ramje e komunizmit n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri, 1990, pothuejse t\u00eb gjith\u00eb hebrejt\u00eb e Shqip\u00ebrise emigruen n\u00eb Israel; minimumi i tyne ka qen\u00eb rreth numrit 2000. Me 11 gusht 1991 nji Ambasad\u00eb Shqiptare u hap n\u00eb Tel \u00c5viv, Israel. Q\u00eb at\u00eb dite marr\u00ebdhanjet miq\u00ebsore vazhdojn\u00eb t\u00eb mbahen n\u00eb mes t\u00eb dy vendeve. Gjat\u00eb vizites s\u00eb nji grup shqiptar n\u00eb Israel, KM i vendit Shimon Perez, deklaroi:\u201d Ne ju duam sepse ju shp\u00ebtuat jet\u00ebt e hebrej\u00ebve gjate L2B, sepse ju keni vuejt\u00eb nga nji diktature e eger\u2026!\u201d<\/p>\n

Me 26 janar 2006, senator\u00ebt amerikan\u00eb Charles Schumer (D.N.Y.) dhe<\/p>\n

John McCain (R.Ar.) paraqit\u00ebn n\u00eb Kongres p\u00ebr aprovim nji Rezolut\u00eb (U.S.Senat, Res.521\/2006 ) me rastin e 61 vjetorit t\u00eb lirimit t\u00eb hebrenj\u00ebve nga kampet naziste, p\u00ebr mbrojtjen e tyne, dhe p\u00ebr shp\u00ebtimin e jet\u00ebs s\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb hebrenjve q\u00eb jetuen dhe u strehuen n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri, gjat\u00eb L2B.<\/p>\n

Mr. President,<\/p>\n

We are saddened and outraged by the systematic attacks of Serbian military, paramilitary and police forces under the command of Slobodan Milosevcic on the civilians of Kosovo. The \u201cethnic cleansing\u201d of ethnic Albanian Muslims in Kosovo recalls too vividly the slaughter and forced expulsions of Muslims during the genocide conducted by Milosevic and his allies during the war in Bosnia.<\/p>\n

As Jews, we know very well the terrible cost of appeasement. It was only a generation ago that we saw the fires of the Holocaust, and their light still illuminates our vision, making clear that we cannot be passive in the face of genocide. Our solemn vow \u2013\u201cnever again\u201d\u2014must be more than a slogan. It must be an agenda, a commitment not just to be vigilant, but to act.<\/p>\n

We must act now to prevent further suffering in Kosovo\u2019s innocents and to prevent Milosevic from dragging the entire region into a new war that could dwarf Bosnia in comparison. We call upon the United States and other countries around the world to honor their commitment to the U.N.Genocide Convention, which requires that signatories do their utmost to prevent and punish genocide. By attempting to forcibly remove a people from a region based on their religion or ethncicity, the recent \u201cethnic cleansing\u201d campaign by Milosevic\u2019s forces clearly meets the definition of genocide Article Two of the Genocide Convention.<\/p>\n

We urge you to avoid the mistakes of the past and to assume a leadership role in taking action to prevent further Serbian attacks. We applaud the recently announced NATO plan to employ air to increase pressure on Slobodan Milosevic. We also call upon the Prosecutor of the U.N. War Crimes Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia to visit Kosovo and Belgrade in the comig days and warn Milosevic and his followers that they will be held responsible for genocide and any other crimes against humanity committed by their forces In Kosovo.<\/p>\n

President Clinton has eloquently stated in recent weeks that many of us have believed for years! We failed to act quickly and forcefully enough in Ruanda and Bosnia. We must not allow Kosovo to become another Bosnia. As Jewish traditon teaches, we cannot \u201csit by the blood of our brothers\u201d (Leviticus 19:16) The U.S. and the international community must not turn a blind eye to these atrocities, but rather we must try to protect the innocent citizens who are suffering. We must, because if we don\u2019t echo will?<\/p>\n
